Bread Board Layout "Tool"...

Postby slurp on Sun Jun 07, 2009 4:48 pm

This is some thing going on over on the Picaxe Forum and has been dubbed PEBBLE - Picaxe Electronic Bread Board Layout Emulator... not so much an emulator but a neat little tool for drawing out Bread Board circuits:-

http://www.picaxeforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12629

There's an option to save and load layouts, this should mean that this text:-
Code: Select all
IC||335|270|1|Picaxe 08M|U?|||DIP8|IC||DIP8_1
Resistor|22000|292|373|1|Resistor|R?||2||IC||
Note||277|178|2||||||0V||NOTEPAD_2
Note||348|452|1||||||5V||NOTEPAD_1
Resistor|10000|292|236|1|Resistor|R?||1||IC||
Wire||288|270|2|||#CC6633|3||||
Note||222|147|2||||||Sin||NOTEPAD_2
Note||374|149|1||||||Sout||NOTEPAD_1
LED|0|317|421|1|LED|LED?|1|||IC||led_11
Resistor|1000|319|399|1|Resistor|R?||2||IC||

can be loaded to give an 08M with a Download Circuit and an LED output on O/P-4 :-

The tool is developing and looking more useful all the time, it's now at version 1.2 but I expect that there will be an update soon.

I'll have to start adding "formula" circuits to this section of the forum!

There's nothing stopping you using a suitably sized IC for the AVR.

For what it's worth, the developer is based in Western Australia but is more interested in PICAXE - hence it's good cover and reference in the title!

PEBBLE - Picaxe Electronic Bread Board Layout Emulator

Most beginners would find the Picaxe more user friendly, that said there's a number of commercial companies utilising the product!
